Second demo boss — rhythm pressure and cleaner clears.

At A Glance

Guardian Faye is the demo's second Blood Recipient — the rhythm exam after The Beast. Searches for Guardian Faye Rubinite / cleaner times belong here. Verified July 25, 2026.

How do phases change the rhythm?

Treat Faye as a music-chart boss wearing pixel armor: patterns repeat, but the spacing between safe Focus pockets tightens as the fight progresses.

Early phase — prove the loop

Open like Beast: one Perfect Dodge Mark, one Focus Mark on a clear recovery, Critical Thrust at two Marks. Do not invent new tech in minute one. Confirm you can still read impact frames after the Hub break.

Mid phase — string pressure

Faye chains answers so you cannot sleep on one button. If a grab-like move appears, stop trying to Perfect Dodge it — swap to the correct counter. Dart answers may show up for aerial pressure; keep Focus darts in your mental toolkit.

Late phase — greed tax

When health is low, players greed three Marks during unsafe windows and donate the stack to a hit. Prefer a clean two-Mark Thrust that ends the phase over a cinematic three-Mark attempt that resets you to zero.

Crystal still rules

Same Pure Blood Crystal rules as every Blood Recipient. Marks into the crystal, Critical Thrust for real damage, light attacks only for spacing. Faye does not secretly become a slash-DPS fight in phase two.

Focus strategy for Guardian Faye

Win condition: shatter the crystal without tilting into mash. Blood Dust from half-health checkpoints still funds Talismans if you die mid-learn.

  • Do01Equip at least one Talisman before the first serious Faye attempt
  • Do02Critical Thrust at 2–3 Marks; avoid one-Mark spends unless finishing
  • Do03Perfect Dodge on impact — early rolls are the #1 death cause
  • Do04Swap answer types when grabs/slams appear
  • Do05After clear: Hub story beats → prepare full-game Blood Recipients via Bosses hub

Bring a Hub upgrade

Do not walk into Faye with an empty Talisman pouch if you already beat The Beast. Even a modest defensive or Focus-friendly Talisman from Wichiwi smooths the rhythm exam. See Talismans.

Focus pockets vs string pressure

Plant Focus only when you can name the next second. If Faye is mid-string, Perfect Dodge for Marks instead of forcing an observation hold. Layer Perfect Dodge into an active Focus only after singles feel automatic.

Reset discipline

A hit wipes Focus charge. Create space, land one Perfect Dodge, rebuild. Faye rewards composure more than The Beast because the strings are longer — panic light attacks extend the fight.

Before you push for a cleaner Faye clear

Cleaner and faster Guardian clears

Searches for Rubinite guardian fastest time usually want efficiency, not a fabricated record. Faster clears come from Mark efficiency and fewer resets — not from skipping Focus.

One community-posted glitchless demo speedrun shows its own in-run clock reading 00:31:57 at the Guardian kill screen — a self-reported clip, not a developer-verified world record, but proof the demo rewards clean Mark spending over button-mashing.

Speed leverWhat to practice
Thrust discipline2–3 Mark spends only
Dodge timingImpact-frame Perfect Dodges
Focus distanceClose-range observation on recoveries
Hub prepTalisman + skill-tree Focus follow-ups

Mark efficiency

Minimize one-Mark Thrusts. A clear spent on consistent two- and three-Mark pays is almost always faster than a clear full of panic spends and full resets.

Less downtime

Every death after half health still pays Dust, but the clock cares about attempts. Warm up Perfect Dodge on Beast patterns for two minutes before a timed Faye push.

Build bias for speed

Once you can clear naked, look at Builds for Mark-greed or Focus-acceleration Talisman pairs. Do not chase speed Talismans before the rhythm is stable — gear cannot fix early rolls.

Common Guardian Faye deaths

Most Guardian Faye Rubinite deaths cluster into a short list. Fix the cluster, not the vibes.

Warm-up ritual

Before a serious Faye session, spend two minutes on Beast Perfect Dodges. Cold Faye attempts waste the rhythm you already earned earlier in the day.

After a clean clear

Immediately note which Talisman felt useful and which Mark spends were wasteful. That note becomes your Builds seed for full-game Recipients.

A sample Guardian Faye phase script

Use this as a spoken script while learning Guardian Faye Rubinite — say it between attempts until it is automatic.

Open

Respect the first readable hits. Bank one Perfect Dodge Mark. Do not invent a three-Mark opener on a cold start.

First Focus pocket

Take the first true recovery. Close in. Focus. Decide at two Marks whether the next pattern is safe. If unknown, spend.

Mid strings

Say out loud: dodge Marks only. No Focus. Survive. When the string ends, then Focus.

Low HP

Two-Mark Thrusts are heroes. Three-Mark greed is optional. Living with a clean spend beats dying with a full bank.

Post-clear

Write which Talisman helped and which attack still early-rolls you. That note feeds Builds.

Guardian Faye mindset checks

Faye is where players discover whether they actually learned Focus or only survived Beast with luck.

Treat her as a certification exam for the systems this wiki exists to teach.

Certification checklist

Can you Perfect Dodge on impact under string pressure? Can you Focus only on named recoveries? Can you spend Marks without panic?

If any answer is no, Faye is correctly hard. Go drill the missing piece on Beast, then return.

Talisman honesty

A craft that made Beast look stylish may be wrong for Faye strings. Swap without ego.

Learning pouches exist so you can pass certification, not so you can look optimized on attempt one.

After certification

Once Faye is clean, you are ready for full-game Recipients and achievement challenges.

Keep the spoken phase script until it bores you. Boredom means mastery.

Guardian Faye FAQ

Is Guardian Faye the final demo boss?

Yes — the free demo routes Beast → Hub upgrades → Guardian Faye as the closing Blood Recipient.

Why is Faye harder than The Beast?

Longer strings, stricter rhythm, and less room for unsafe Focus holds. The loop is the same; the timing budget is tighter.

How do I get a faster Guardian clear?

Raise Mark efficiency (fewer resets, fewer one-Mark Thrusts) and Perfect Dodge on impact. Check live leaderboards for records — do not trust outdated clip overlays.

Should I fight Faye before learning Perfect Dodge?

No — drill Perfect Dodge on The Beast first.
